You can get around Chattogram by rickshaw. You can either hire a small bicycle driven rickshaw or a three-wheeled auto rickshaw. Make sure that you agree a faree with the driver before you start your journey. There are also larger varieties of shared rickshaws called "tempos" available in the city. These usually have a cabin in the back and can get crowded, carrying several passengers. Tempos, although uncomfortable at times, are faster than smaller rickshaws and are cheaper too. You may be able to hire a car through your hotel but bear in mind that the road infrastructure in Chattogram is generally not well maintained. Driving can be dangerous and it is best to hire a car with a driver.
